Re: Bedrrom Question

There is no law specifying an age where opposite sex children must have separate rooms. However, depending on the facts of the situation and if there is a court order, you have to follow what the judge says.

Re: Bedrrom Question

Were DCF to become involved, its regulations and viewpoints would determine whether you are in neglect by allowing these children to share a room. Once the children are at an age where they understand that they are different, it is best that they have separate rooms for regular accommodations. When traveling, common sense and closer supervision might give some bend to this.

As a practical matter, you will have the least difficulty if opposite-gender children have their own separate rooms at home, regardless of the existence of judicial orders, and WHETHER OR NOT they are not related by blood. Period. Create for yourself a no-waffling, common-sense situation: find a way to give each child complete privacy, and to avoid any foolish temptation to explore any curiosities. That way, you'll minimize accusations, at the very least.

Or you can save a buck on rent today, spend bucks on lawyers tomorrow.

This question is too vague for a meaningful answer.
