birthcertificate

if a child has a name of a person who is not the father on his birth certificate. how can the real father get his name on the birth certificate?

The genetic father may not be on the birth certificate for a number of reasons.

If the mother was and is married to the named father, and he agrees that the child is his, you have minimal legal right to seek an adjudication. In fact, the last time I had reviewed the law, I was of the impression that the attack would not be allowed in order to preserve the marriage.

In other situations, you have the right to claim paternity, though the named father must be part of the adjudication.
