Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
Hi I called the judge's secretary and told her that my husband did not understand the legal aspects of the final judgement letter and she was very rude to me she said to me don't you mean your ex husband. Because I said that to her can it change the judge's mind on granting us our final divorce thank you

When reviewing a Separation Agreement, all judges ask the parties whether they completely understand the terms of the agreement, have signed it freely and voluntarily, and have any questions. If you have already presented the Agreement to the Judge, s/he will have told you whether it was approved or not. Unless your husband contacts the court himself and alleges that he misrepresented his understanding of the agreement, the divorce will go through as normal. Even then, it will probably not be delayed. If you have merely filed your paperwork and are waiting to receive an Uncontested Trial date from the court (at which you will present the agreement to your Judge), then your husband will have the opportunity on that date to allege that he does not agree with what he previously signed and submitted to the court. If he does so, the Judge is unlikely to approve your agreement and grant you your divorce at that time.
