Name change
Could you tell me how I go about
changing my last name after a divorce?
I'm not sure where to begin. Thank

If you are not yet divorced, you can request it as part of the divorce.
Otherwise you file a petition for change of name in the Probate Court of the county in which you reside.

Petition the probate and family court. You could have done it easily as part of your divorce judgment.

If you are not yet divorced you can request the name change as part of the divorce. Otherwise, you need a Petition to the Court to change your name.
