chemical dependency warrant for commitment to rehab facility

My brother is seriously ill from alcoholism. Can I force him to go to a long term treatment facility? We were told recently that his blood alcohol level was 4.6 and if he'd finished his bottle of liquor he would have died.He also has HEP b + C and the alcohol is killing him. He lives in Massachusetts. He is a danger to himself and others if he drives.
