Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

The last time we went court the father was ordered to pay child support for our oldest child.After two years we got back together.The order was still active.After one i got pregnant to our second child,things didnt work out so he moved out.We went court for modication because we had two kids.He was ordered to pay me past owed child support ,money but some were preserved because i felt bad for him and i new he didt have money to pay me.My question is ?Since he didnt pay me the agreed past due ordered,because we going back to court soon ,can i request the court backdate and ask him to pay me all monies which was preserved since the fatherdid not stick to the agreement?
