Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Can you have a child over 18 commited for help

My 20 year old daughter has already tried to take her life once. I fear she could do this once again in the state of mind she is in. I want to get her some help but, of course she feels she does not need any, are there any legal remidies that I have.

You can go to your local District Court and ask them about a warrant of apprehension for your daughter. If there is reason to believe that she is a danger to herself or to others, the court can intervene.
