: child custody

There is not enough information.

I am tempted to say something about a general rule, but the more I think about this, the less I am inclined.

If you have more specific information, I can provide a more specific answer; so please contact me.

Re: child custody

If the father's girlfriend is the child's mother and has legal custody, there is no reason she needs father's permission unless a court has ordered otherwise). If the father's girlfriend is unrelated to the child, and is for some reason babysitting, she would normally need permission of a parent with legal custody.

The prior answer, though, has it right: there is no where near enough information here to properly answer what is best or most correct. Family law matters are fact-specific. Please feel free to contact me for a more informed opinion.
