Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Child support Arrears/SSDI

My ex is in arrears for over $25,000

My 2 sons were eligable for benefits through my ex's SSDI. If I recieve a retroactive payment from his SSDI, will that be considered payment off his arrears? Some of the SSDI payment went directly to my oldest son because he is over 18.

Re: Child support Arrears/SSDI

The SSDI retroactive benefit actually received will probably be used by the Probate and Family Court to offset your ex's arrears.
