Child Support
I have 3 children ages 24, 21 & 19. My ex & I were divorced in WV in 1994. I relinquished custody of the children because I was in school full time. He moved to MA to live with family. I paid child support until the youngest graduated from hs in June 2007. I got a new job in VA, he has threatened to go back to court to get child support once again. The eldest is in law school (1 yr done) second finished his third year in college & the third completed her first year. My new husband & I have assisted all 3 to varying degrees since they have been in college even before the child support was done. When does this end?

Assuming under all the facts that Massachusetts controls the child support (as it seems to, where you have both removed yourselves from the original jurisdiction of divorce), child "support, maintenance, and education costs" can be ordered of YOU (not your current husband) until all children are either 23, or all children have completed a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.
You can no longer be ordered to support your future lawyer. Assuming that the other two are full-time baccalaureate seekers, without any prior BA or BS degree, you can be ordered to assist.

He can seek child support for the two in college until they complete college, provided they are full time students, or until the reach the age of 23, whichever comes first.
