Child Support

Can child support be ended at 18 yrs, if other parent hasn't notified other parent that child would be going onto an agreed school per divorce decree?

It is more complicated. It depends on the language of the separation agreement.

The new child support guidelines that became effective on January 1 anticipate that the obligation to pay child support will end when a child enters college. Because your separation agreement almost certainly pre-dated the new guidelines, changing the child support payment set up in your agreement will probably require a complaint for modification.

The exact agreement must be reviewed to give you an educated answer. If the child is in high school still, support should be continued.
