Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
Child Support Enforcement Harassment
I started receiving weekly letters from another state's Department of Child Support Enforcement in December of 2005. The letters had MY name but someone elses SS#. I contacted them with no luck. I still received weekly letters from them. My family lawyer contacted them to verify I wasn't even old enough to have a child at the time of the divorce. A week later I received a subpoena. My lawyer called again, and sent ALL my information to verify it was a mistaken identity. My driver's license, SS card etc... I received a letter of apology from one of their judges. A few months later I started receiving letters to my parent's home (my old address) with MY SS# and Name on them stating i owed child support. My lawyer called them again. The letters stopped. Months later I find my credit in ruins from where they reported it. Now, about 2 years later I received a pre-trial packet from a probate in that state. Do i have a lawsuit? what kind of lawyer do i need?

Re: Child Support Enforcement Harassment
You need an attorney in the state that has been doing this to you to advise you of its procedures.
