Re: child support

Has child support been established in court? If not, and if child support is the only issue, you need to file a complaint for support in court in the county you reside in and an affidavit of care and custody. Once you receive the summons back from the court have him served with the complaint and summons. You may want to consult with a family law attorney. Good luck!

Re: child support

You do not need the father's social security number to file for support. The first items are the complaint for separate support, or the divorce complaint. You then get a summons from the court that should be served on the father. Then you can file for temporary support, and others such as medical coverage. You then have the right to demand certain documents and certain information. You also have a right to demand that he complete a financial statement, that includes his social security number.
