child support
I live in a different state than where I pay child support. The child lives in the state with the order. Can I get a current order in the state I live?

The court has jurisdiction where your child lives as to the amount of child support, so if you want to get the order modified, you have to file in that state.

The order arises in the state which has jurisdiction over the child.

The court where your child resides retains jurisdiction over its child support oder so that any modification must be filed in that court. Good Luck!
