Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Child Support

Is there any way to get a support order updated? I mean, what if you haven't made the kind of money that you made in the beginning in years? Is there any way to change that? Also, is there any way to regulate how much they take out of a paycheck, say if you got married and have to support a new family as well? I really hope you can help me. Thank you,

Re: Child Support

If you can prove a substantial change in circumstances since the date of the order you may file a complaint for modification of the order. However the Court will consider your first responsibility is to the children of the prior marriage. Good Luck!
