my son just turned 18 this may and wants to go to school part time do i still pay child support even tho its part time ?

It depends on the Order before the court, usually it says he must be a full time student. You should file a Motion for Modification based on your son only going to school part-time.

However, if he is going part-time because of money issues as opposed to other reasons, you might not get the result you want

Usually going to school part-time is not sufficient. The definition for emancipation depends on the divorce agreement. Unless there is a sunset provision, you should seek the end of child support from the court.
