Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Child Support & Tuition

Tuition is 50/50, ex has not paid son's tuition so I got loan to cover it, now months later he wants to work out to repay loan together. I can pay off my 1/2 & don't/can't keep loan in my name it will keep me too extended if I want to buy car, etc. If I accept his money will this mess me up if/when I take him in for contempt for not paying. He's going for modification what are my rights regarding his salary, last time his yearly & weekly did not match ($1000/$60,000) he is a salesman & probably get draw w/commission. My lawyer did not catch this & I will be going in without an attorney this time. I received a bonus so my YTD reflects this is there anything I can do to not have this be calculated in. Last time they based it on his weekly which obviously doesn't reflect his actual if he is receiving draw plus which his YTD indicates.

Re: Child Support & Tuition

I would suggest that you file an action for contempt of court on the tuition. As to the modification, you should engage an attorney to get the information you need.

I would be happy to consult further. You can e-mail me or telephone. My web address is www.gregleelaw.com.
