child support/alimony
I would like to know how much I am entitled to child support and alimony. I have been a homemaker for 15 years and have 4 children. My oldest is 19, 15, and 12 yr old twins. The father and I have decided to have joint custody. His gross income is $3,983 a week gross net pay is $3,000.

Re: child support/alimony
Based on the facts given that you have four(4) children and are unemployed, except as a homemaker, and that your husband has annual gross income of approximately $207,000, the current child support guidelines would entitle you to approximately $1,430 weekly child support.
The amount of alimony, if any, has no set formula but would depend largely upon your employability.
Should you decide to retain an attorney, that attorney could review with you your fact situation and provide a more accurate assessment.
Good Luck!
Re: child support/alimony
Based on the child guidelines that generally go up above $100,000 a year and your husband makes over $200,000 a year would be a little over $1,400 per week, plus cost of college for the 19 year old if a full time student.
Alimony would be based on your ability to obtain employment and your ability to leave the home for employment.
Just as important are your rights to his pension benefits, medical coverage, and other assets of the marriage.
You should contact an attorney immediately. You need to have your interests and those of your children protected.
