The Massachusetts statutes allow child support to be ordered through age 23. Between 18-21, it is solely a discretionary call of the judge. From 21 through 23, the child must be attending school of some type for the Court to exercise discretion and order child support. The statutes do not specify that this education be at a college. They do, however, specify that a bachelor's degree ends the Court's discretion, just as the age of 23 does (whichever comes first).

Massachusetts Law allows child support to be extended to age 23 if the child is a full time student and dependent upon the custodial parent. It ends at age 23 or the obtaining of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Consider retaining an attorney to seek a modification of your support order if appropriate. Good Luck!

It depends on what your separation agreement or the court order says.

Generally however, the court can order child support up to the age of 23 if the child is going to school full time.
