Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Children

I need information on what a husbands responsibilites are to a child money wise when the child is not his and his wife intenionally slept with another man to get pregnant when he could not give her a child because of a low sperm count. Does he have to pay child support and how would he go about proving that the child in question is not his? What are his responsibilities until its proven that the child is not his?

Re: Children

A child of a marriage may be proven to be the child of the husband even if biologically it is not the man's child. There are many factors besides genetics such as the age of the child, the relationship between husband and child, child's perception of identity of the husband. Since the husband may be presumed to be the father, he has an obligation to support the child until it is legally established that he is not the father.
