Question 1- Is contingency in divorce legal in Mass.? I have been told I can not get my divorce until the visitation issues are cleared up.

Question 2- Do grandparents have visitation rights if the child has moved out of the state 5 years ago? When does to new state have jurisdiction?

Question 3- I have a low income, is there any legal assistance through the state? I do not qualify for free legal aid any more but I can't even afford $100/hr. How can someone with a low income have a decent attorney?

Question 4- If you are married over 10 years in Mass. and can not prove your financial contribution toward the home your husband purchased after the mariage, what rights do I have towards this property?

Answer 1: Contingency in divorce is NOT allowed in

Mass.

Answer 2: Grandparents will have to bring the

visitation issue to the new state. Each state different as to jurisdiction. But 5 years anywhere is certainly more than enough.

through the state. Ask at the courthouse.
