Re: Court Date, have not payed child support

I have to ask whether this is a real question. Why would you "start not paying?" Why would you continue such a path when you lost your license as a result?

You definitely face jail time. Your best bet is to get some sympathetic friend or relative to help pay the arrears. After that, pay your child support religiously.

Be aware that you can be charged criminally for non-support, as well as through the contempt process. And, frankly, be aware that no honest family lawyer has any sympathy for a non-custodial parent who can work and pay support, but chooses not to. Unless you are determined disabled by Social Security rules, you need to be out there and working, and paying your support.
