Custody battle

my cousin has a 8 month old son who is with his father for now they are still going to court but, the father has left the state with the child what can she do about this? she does have daily visits with her son but,not since he left the state.

Re: Custody battle

Massachusetts law prohibits removal of a child from Massachusetts after a custody action is filed in court without permission of the other parent or a judge. If this law was violated, the parent can go to court and file a contempt or file a complaint with the police.
