custody

i have full legal and physical custody awarded 2007 for 2 minor children, can i move to another state without having to answer to court or the exhusband who does not is not ordered to pay support?

No, assuming that your ex spouse has legal custody of the children, you must seek permission and approval of the court before moving. Failure to obtain approval could have very serious negative consequences.

In Massachusetts, once custody has been awarded by a court, the child may not be removed from Massachusetts without the permission of a judge or the father of the child.

You need the consent of the ex-husband or the court. The court will generally allow you to move if it is for a good reason.

I also do not understand why the father is not required to pay at least minimal child support.

No. You should retain an attorney to seek permission of the Court with notice to your ex husband by way of a Complaint for Modification in which you should also seek a child support order. Good Luck!
