Custody question about marriage

My ex is getting married and I have been engaged for some time now. I have chosen not to get married at this time for financial reasons that could and according to FAFSA would affect children's assistance for grants and aid. Can my ex use that he is married as a means to get custody of the children? Can I be forced by a judge to get married in order to sustain my sole physical custody?

Re: Custody question about marriage

The facts you state do not, in and of themselves, have relevance to a custody case.
