Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Custudy of my unborn child

I am going to be a father soon, my ex girlfriend and I were so excited untill we broke up and know she lives with her emotionaly unstable mother she is bi polar and is not on medication. My ex girlfriend was recently diagnosed as having extreme depression problems, also she is not working. She has said I will never be able to see this baby and I am afraid for the baby's health and well being after she is born, I need to know if there is anything i can do.

Retain an attorney to consider the merits of filing an action to establish paternity and your custody and visitation rights as the putative father.

Re: Custudy of my unborn child

Yes as the father of the child you will be able to see the child and you will have to pay child support. While it is difficult under these circumstances to get physical custody, if you can demonstrate that if left in the current environment it poses a danger to the child that is something else.

I strongly suggest you contact an attorney and give him as many details as you can and see what your options are.
