Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Dad Wants Physical Custody To Continue Quality Care.
In June/July of 2001, My wife of 12 years filed for divorce. I have done everything to change this but there is nothing that I can do. It is currently filed in court as a ''1B''. I am the father of 2 boys ages 10 and 11.I have been he ''nurturing parent'' and there are no drugs, alcohol or abuse with this case on either parent's part. We both work, I pick up The boys at the end of my day and the night routine, tends to be the more difficult. Responsibilities are: School academics, homework, CCD, Church going on Sunday, all other extra circular activities, Basketball practice and games, most all dinners and lunches, laundry etc. and weekly excursions to Barnes and Noble, special ''recognition'' dinners at Kelley's or McDonalds etc. I have a pretty close family (parents, sisters, brothers etc) all living in the area, and can attest to my care giving. Neighbors, School Educators, Parents of friends of my boys, and Spiritual advisors also are part of this list of people as my references. For the past 8 months I have kept a daily journal tracking my daily ctivities but mostly the involvement I have on a daily basis with Chris and Alex. Does it sound like a good possibility or Physical custody?

Bias against fathers is prevalent in family courts in Massachusetts.

Unless you have something extraordinary to use

against the mother, it is unlikely you'll get

custody.

A fight for custody quickly becomes a War of the Roses.

Unless you have something BIG against the mother,

that War can run upwards of $50,000 and more

likely greater than $100,000.
