Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
My daughter lives with my ex girlfriend in MA. I am in RI, on Home Confinement with the Dept. of Corrections. My case will be ongoing for a few months. I know I can't leave the state, so I can't see my daughter. My ex girlfriend will not take my daughter to RI to see me, will not answer or return my calls (she has recently changed her home & cell phone numbers, so I can't call her anyway), and she will not respond to my emails or letters. All I want to do is communicate with my ex, as the mother of my daughter. For all I know, she's moved. I wouldn't know. Is there any way I can legally force her to communicate with me, as I am my daughter's father??????
I'm becoming very distraught because I don't know how my daughter is, who turns one year old this year.

You need to engage an attorney and get visitation orders set up. You will need an attorney under the circumstances. the attorney can seek to have you appear by telephone, but would also be there to make sure matters go well.
You should consult with an attorney to resolve the matter and have visitations with your daughter.
