dealing with d. s. s. as amother

what should d. s. s. do first when overnight a child falls out of the bed gets bruises on his face goes to day care the next morning the day care calls d. s. s. removes the child from mothers custody without significant proof that the mother is at fault for the child's injury, even though the child admitted that he did acually fell out of bed the night before?

The issue is not fault, but neglect. Under any circumstances, it has always been my position that no person targeted should speak to DSS without an attorney. I have never found an exception.

You should get an attorney and begin building your case. You are defendoing against possible neglect as well as affirmative abuse. The allegations are serious, and the mother is viewed as either abusing the child, or neglecting by failing to stop someone else's abuse.

I have been involved in cases where mother has had difficulty admitting that father or boyfriend is an abuser, or that she herself has an issue. This is a time for careful personal examination as well as excellent legal representation.
