Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Desertion

My wife left me 7 yrs ago. There were no legal papers filed...we are still married...both her and my name is on the deed to our house....though she has not contributed monitarily since she left 7 yrs ago.

Is there such a thing as a ''common law'' divorce, or termination of marriage, and since she has not contributed monitarily or any other way to this property does she still have a right to it?

Re: Desertion

No. There is no common law divorce. You must file a complaint for divorce perhaps using the grounds of desertion, and request the court award you her interest in the property.
