Re: Divorce assets
All property is subject to equitable division, regardless of "legal" title or means of acquisition. However, the key word is "equitable," which means "fair under all of the crcumstances." The "equitable" distribution of "marital property" may favor one party over another. I can be reached through my website, www.gregleelaw.com, for a more specific consultation.
: Divorce assets
An inheritance acquired during the marriage becomes an asset of the marriage. As Gregory said, how a court deals with the asset and how is distributes it on a divorce is the bigger question.
