Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
My divorce calls for a parent coordinator. During my first phone contact with the parent coordinator, she was difficult to deal with and could not work within my schedule. At the end of the phone call, she resigned. My wife listened in on the call, and witnessed the resignation. Now my exwife's lawyer wants to drag me to court on a contempt charge. I accepted the parental coordinator's resignation, and want a new coordinator. What should I do?
1 Answer from Attorneys
It sounds like you need an attorney to assist you. You stated that your wife has an attorney. It will be difficult for you to keep up with her attorney without representation of your own. In terms of answering your immediate question, you will need to present evidence that you are not wilfully in contempt of the court's order to work with a parent coordinator in order to defeat the other attorney's complaint for contempt. Best of luck.
