Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
divorce and child support
My ex-wife is over qualified for her job. She has a bachelors degree in business, and purposely works for less than $20,000 a year because she knows she can get more money from me in child support. She is taking me to court next month for more money ans I have a copy of her resume. If I bring this document to court could a judge make her gat another job and not increase my child support? Also in our divorce settlement the judge ordered me to pay $1000.00 to her for an apt. Since she is moving in with her boyfriend do I still have to pay this? Can I bring this up to the judge. One more thing, her new boyfriend is a district attorney, is this going effect anything?

Re: divorce and child support
I would suggest you get an attorney to present your case. You should bring her resume to the court and you should indicate that if she is moving in with the Boyfriend who is a DA and as such should be able to pay at least half of the rent. Her Boyfriend being a DA should not be a factor, that does not mean it will not be.
I suggest you contact an attorney ASAP.
