Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I am currently going through a divorce its been continued for a future date, I'm expecting to have my child prior to the postponed date, I'd Iike to sign my maiden name on the birth certificate but with the divorce not being finalized would this be legal? On the divorce paperwork I have requested to have my maiden name back.

I was thinking of changing my name prior to the postponed court date but I don't think there may be enough time, are there any other alternatives so I can sign my maiden name.

If I were to sign my maiden name on the birth certificate would the court try and have it reversed (for lack of better words) to the current legal name and ask for an additional continuance on the divorce?

Thanks you,

D. A.

Once the court order/judgment that your name has been changed, then you can legally use it. Not before.
