i have a divorce date but live outside mass what happens if i dont show orcan i sign power of attorney to someone to show for me the divorce is uncontested

You need to file a Motion to Waive your appearance.

Your chances of having your Motion allowed, which will require all of your paperwork, including financial statements, to be in order, and your separation agreement to be acceptable to the judge. My advice would be to hire counsel to adequately represent your interests if you cannot be there. Best of luck!
