My husband owns the IRS, The stete of Mass taxes and the attorney general money for a froud he is involved in. Can I save my share of the house in the divorce? The IRS wants to attach a lien on the property so does the State and the Attorney General. They can't becouse the house is in my nome right now. but if he gets a right to the house they have the right to do that. Can I save my share? HOw? Thank you

the house is viewed as marital property. It seems from what you are saying that since the house is in your name, they cannot attach it.

If that is the case, then this is your focus, and should be for the divorce. To the extent that he wasted marital assets, this should be a defense in his seeking to have a share of the house.

Retain an attorney to represent you in the divorce that can deal with your issues surrounding potential tax liens by your husbands creditors. Good Luck!
