Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I have been trying to get divorce since May 2010.I had to switch attorneys because I did not feel my previous attorney was doing enough, when I was going to court I did not know for what or even what days were my court days. My new attorney started well. But everytime he sent a proposal or make a call to the other atty we don't get a response in writing. Or at least this is what my new attorney is saying. My husband drinks a lot, smoke a lot and was very verbally abusive to me. They were past physical abuse too. I have an 11yr old child, a property with the bill on my name and the dead on both names. My daughter said she does not wants to live with him. She want to speak to the judge about this. The court appointed a Guardian at liten. His recommendation physical custody for me and legal for both with visitations only wed 5 to 7pm and every other weekend for him. Still even with this there is no decision made in regard to her custody. When she goes with her dad she calls me a lot of times. She wanted to call the police on her father because she wanted to come with me due that she said her dad calls her names, is rude with her also her father's mother called her bad names. The house is overprice and we owed more than what is valued. Plus I have not been able to pay the mortgage. He used to pay the mortgage. I don't get any child support. His family has money and mine doesn't. I am getting behind on the house bills. I feel no one is helping me or listening to me neither my daughter. Who can help us? Any suggestions. I have no further money to pay my attorney. I have expend already $10k that my poor old father has manage to sent me with his extra work. Who can help me and my daughter. My ex still smokes and drinks per my daughter.
