divorce /immigration

is there a paper i can get from the courts stating i was granted a divorce while im currently waiting out the alotted waiting period for it to become final ,so i can procede with my partner visa application with my australian fiance ?

You get a copy of the Judgment of Divorce Nisi approximately 30 days after the final hearing or trial. Wait for that to come in the mail and that should be sufficient evidence of the divorce.

If the Immigration people want proof that you are fully and finally divorced, the only paper that will do is a Certificate of Judgment Absolute. This can only be issued after the nisi period is over.

Judgment of Divorce, and make sure that it is certified by the clerk's office.

For purposes of the Immigration Service, the Divorce NISI will NOT be sufficient proof of termination of the marriage. They will require the final judgment of divorce certificate, which you can only obtain after the NISI period is over.
