In a divorce situation, can a non-custodial parent go back to court to modify the divorce agreement to stop paying the child support for the child now in a full-time student in college? The non-custodial parent is paying half of the college tuition already!

If the non-custodial parent has had a material reduction in their compensation, they can file for a modification of the child support. Absent a financial justification for a change in child support, the non-custodial parent cannot get their child support reduced. If the child is over 23 years of age, the parent can seek termination of support.
