Divorce
My wife has filed a complaint for divorce. I have not been served yet and expect that will take place shortly. In the mean time we have mutually agreed to persue a Joint Petition for Divorce instead. How should I respong to the Divorce complaint and change to a Joint Petiion? We live in Massachusetts.

You can change from a contested complaint for divorce to a joint petition for divorce at any time.
It will be considerably less expensive for you and your spouse, if you can agree on each and every part of the divorce, be much less contentious and emotionally damaging.
You might consider retaining an attorney to put together a separation agreement and file the appropriate paperwork for a joint petition. My office charges a simple flat fee.
