Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Not Divorced yet

My boyfriend is going through a messy divorce. We want to live together. Are there any legal issues with moving in with him even if hes not legally divorced yet?

Re: Not Divorced yet

The court's principal concern with divorcing parties moving in with new significant others: children. If he has children who will be visiting, the court can consider limiting his visitation in your company. This is a fact-based question -- how long has he been separated from wife? What issues already exist wioth the children and visitation or custody? How will your presence affect the children? How will mom's reaction to your presence affect the children (even if she's just nasty, it will affect the children)?

There may opccasionally be other issues, but this is the main one you should consider.
