Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
I have been divorced for 10 years. After we had been divorced for 3 years my ex asked to have all of our photos to look at to see which he wanted copies of. Through an attorney it was decided he would take them for 3 weeks, decide what he wanted copies of and he and I would share the cost of his copies. Also, because I had a dual VCR, he gave me blank VHS tapes and I made copies of our videos for him. When the 3 weeks was up, he did not return the photos. The attorney asked him then to bring them to a court date we had (unrelated incident) and we would exchange photos and videos at that time. Again, I had the videos but he did not bring the photos. His complaint was that he knew I hadn't given all the photos to him. By the way, I turned over our wedding album and 4 large rubbermaid containers with photos. Because it was not a "court issued order", he has never given me any photos. I still have all the videos to give him. I am so tired of going to court with him and keep asking him to come to an agreement out of court and let us just exchange these photos and close that door. I have no photos (other than those I had framed) of our 20 years together including our 3 children and all of my family. What options do I have? Do I have to take him back to court and what would the charges be? I am so tired of all of his control issues. Thank you so much in advance,
Nancy Renaud

Ask his lawyer to get the photos, if not then file a motion to hold him in contempt.
Name the lawyer as a witness.
If you need help, call me. Maybe it would just take a phone call and maybe I could help.
