Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Divorce-Home Possesion

My Wife who is 5 months pregnant, claims that she is leaving me but decided to wait until after the baby is born. Our first. We just moved into a new house in January which was purchased solely with funds provided by myself and the house is in my name. We have only been married since May. Can she strip me of this house? Please do not contact me by email. I will check the postings.

Re: Divorce-Home Possesion

In a divorce action, the court must divide property equitably. There are many factors

for the

court to consider including source of funds and length of marriage. Many other factors

include

conduct during marriage, earning potential, education, and health.

It is impossible for a lawyer to predict the outcome of a divorce without much more

information.
