Domestic Partner Property Rights

a man and a women have been living together for 2+ years. They purchased a house. His and Her name are on the deed. He re-financed the house and the morgage is in his name only. He has became involved with another women and has ended the relatioship. He has asked/told the first women to leave the house and if not, he will call the police. What rights does she have to stay AND what rights does she have to the house itslef?

She has equal rights of ownership. She can rent her half out or stay there herself.

He can yell that he pays the mortgage, but he has not increased their equity very much in 2+ years.

She likely can show she contributed to the

household: services such as cleaning, dishes,

laundry, etc. Can get messy. He should buy her out. Or she can buy him out.
