Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

domestic relations summons

I had my ex served, the constable sent me the signed papers, what do i do?? should I amil them in or bring them to the court house? They do not make this process very easy for people that cant afford an attorney.

Re: domestic relations summons

You should send the completed summons to the clerk so it is on file with the court that your ex was served. I would recommend taking a copy of the documentation in the event that court misplaces any of it.

Re: domestic relations summons

Make a copy of the summons for your own records.

Then you can either bring it into the court in person or you can mail it in. If you mail it in, just make sure to have a cover letter telling them to file it with your docket number.
