easy divorce question

If a spouse voluntarily leaves their home (with their possessions)is the other spouse legally required to let them return before the divorce is finalized (house is in both names)

There is no preference for squatter's rights; moving out of a house is not a forefiture of ownership. Unless a court orders otherwise, any owner of property (name on deed being pretty good proof of ownership)may re-enter their property or call the police for assistance if their re-entry is interfered with.

First it is not an easy question. It is a marital home, and short of a court order to the contrary, either party has aright to it.
