Emancipation

If a child support states that support is to be provided to the child until child is emancipated according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the child now lives in New Hampshire where the laws are different what would the emancipation age be, would the father still have to abide by the Commonwealth laws?

The laws or the cases are all over the place.

I have seen States take jurisdiction over children who have lived there for a short time -- 6 months up to 2 years.

What you want to be careful about are the child-support guideines in NH and the implications a modification would have on your current position.

Whati s your visitation like? Be careful not to screw it up if it is good.

If a court in New Hampshire determines that it has jurisdiction over the child, NH law and guidelines will most likely rule. Massachusetts jurisdiction can be lost.
