Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Ex's Girlfriend wished our son dead

My husband and I have been seperated for 6 years, we have a 7 year old son which I have raised alone with only a few small support payments. My son is afraid of his girlfriend, she has actually stated to a few people that she wished he was dead, she lies so he gets in trouble with his father, and has made him eat outside with their dog. What can I do to keep her away from my son? Restraining order?

If your child has been abused, you can report this to the police or department social services. Making a child eat outside with a dog could be abusive. You could also seek a protective order from a court but this may be more difficult because there is not likely to be any substantiation of the allegations. If DSS investigates, they may find substantiation.
