I do not believe that the Court will entertain a guardianship petition prior to birth. You can, however, make all of the arrangements in advance to seek same.

Please note that BOTH parents have a stake in guardianship, and both must be notified of the proceedings. The father has a right to contest if he is a potential fit parent, or does not agree with the potential guardian.
