Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

My father in law wants me out his house. I have lived in that house for 30 years. I have maintained the house for all those years. I'm married to his daugther who lives there. , what are my rigths on this matter can he just single me out and evict me , rather than both of us???

I have never heard of a landlord evicting one household member and not all. I suspect that there is more to this than you stated. I suspect that your wife also wants you out of the house. If that is the case, the best court to hear this is probate court which has jurisdiction over husbands and wifes.

It sounds as if you have limited rights, as some form of tenancy.

If he wants to act, he will have to go most likely to housing court and request an eviction.
